Submission Info - Deadline Passed

A&E and the NYTVF have teamed for the third annual A&E Unscripted Development Pipeline to offer great independent producers the opportunity to develop new programming with A&E. If you have an eye for terrific characters and new worlds that add life and freshness to the TV landscape, then this is an opportunity for you.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

From the hilarious antics of "Duck Dynasty" to the gritty tension of the "First 48" and finally the entrepreneurial strategy and hijinks of "Storage Wars", A&E is the destination for real 21st Century stories. As for this initiative, we want you to introduce us to a world that is original, new and full of life. Don't merely show us the great characters that you uncover, but take us into their lives. What makes this concept new, fun and appealing? How are your characters connected and in what ways do they interact? In a time of economic uncertainty and anxiety, we are seeking resourceful groups of people that enjoy life and meet its adversities with good humor and perseverance. Also, don't feel pressured to merely look at concepts that are similar to what is on our air now - after all, we already have it! A&E has long been a home for outstanding television - and we think you might be able to uncover the next big thing.

A screening committee of NYTVF officials will narrow the pool of entrants down to 25 semi-finalists. These semi-finalists will be presented to A&E development executives, who will select five finalists, each of whom will receive notes on their projects and $2,500 to shoot short presentations, exploring their subject, under the guidance of an A&E approved production partner. One winner, selected by A&E, will be awarded $10,000 and he/she will participate in the production of the pilot.
