[NEW YORK, NY, MAR. 31, 2008] – The New York Television Festival (NYTVF) today joined with Advertising Week to announce the launch of a new forum dedicated to the creation of original branded video content initiatives. “Nexus NYC” will be held the week of September 22nd in New York City during the 5th annual Advertising Week. Nexus will unite television, online, and digital producers with corporate brand managers and executives looking to promote their companies and products through branded entertainment. Through a series of structured face-to-face meetings and events, brands will be given the opportunity to receive dozens of pitches by some of the most talented content creators in the industry. Producers participating in the event include Michael Davies, President and CEO of Embassy Row Productions; Howard T. Owens, Managing Director of Reveille LLC; and an additional group of top producers represented by the William Morris Agency.

TV fests partner in an exchange program
providing independent TV creators a platform to screen their projects
internationally
[NEW YORK, NY, NOV. 25, 2007] - The New York Television Festival
(NYTVF) today announced that the Rio de Janeiro International Television
Festival has joined its TV Festival PassPort Program. This unique
artist exchange program, launched in September by the NYTVF, provides
up-and-coming independent Brazilian TV creators and producers with
free Artist Passes to the 2008 NYTVF and the ability to screen their
work at the fest in New York. In exchange, members of the NYTVF Fellowship
program will be welcomed at the 2008 International Television Festival
and have the opportunity to screen their work for audiences in Brazil.
Rio de Janeiro International Television Festival, which is promoted
by Brazil's Institute of Television Studies (IETV), is the second
international festival to join the PassPort program, following the
MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival in September. Read More

[NEW YORK, NY, Sept. 17, 2007] - The New York Television Festival
(NYTVF) joined with the MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television
Festival (MGEITF) today to announce the TV Festival PassPort Exchange
Program. This unique exchange program will establish an international
partnership uniting the most promising TV creators affiliated with
the two festivals. In 2008, the MGEITF will present screenings featuring
the pilots made by the four recipients of the NYTVF Fellowships announced
below. Additionally, MGEITF will welcome all pilot-makers featured
at the 2007 NYTVF at its festival in Edinburgh. In return, the NYTVF
will welcome participants in the MGEITF's Fast Track program to participate
