4/14/08 NYTVF and PGP team up to launch "Flying Solo TV Pilot Contest"

On Monday, April 14th, the NYTVF announced that Procter & Gamble Productions has rejoined the Fest for its second consecutive year as a Signature Sponsor. The NYTVF is thrilled to be partnered once again with one of New York's biggest and best production companies! PGP

As part of the sponsorship, the NYTVF and PGP is following up on its success last year with the PGP Comedy Show by launching a new contest. The Flying Solo TV Pilot Contest allows female college seniors and recent graduates to help produce and also star in a new reality/drama series in the vein of "The Hills."

Based on short audition videos introducing the women and the many interesting aspects of their lives, up to three winners will be selected. These winners will star in TV pilots based on their lives produced by Procter & Gamble Productions. Furthermore, the winners will be given cameras and instructed to shoot their own footage of their day-to-day experiences. This footage will be combined with professionally shot footage to create a unique hybrid program, integrating first-person content with more traditional third-person footage.

The NYTVF is proud to offer young women this tremendous opportunity to become TV producers and stars. For more information on the Flying Solo TV Pilot Contest, click here!
